They handed the Flying Frenchmen the short end of a 5 to 3 score, in a game that was replete with speed and good hockey, and enough thrills to send the fans away singing its praises.

Joliat scored the winning goal and Morenz was credited with an assist. The 2-1 win put the local team in the leadership of the Canadian section.

The “Irish” were beaten 2-0 by the “Flaming Frenchmen,” but they came out of the fray unscathed, and in good shape to meet the Newsy Lalonde-led New York Americans in the game here tomorrow night.
